The dsp-MP7 chip is released

November 19, 2015

Do you want a drumchip that sounds like JM Jarre?

The dsp-MP7 chip have the analog sounds from the KEIO MiniPops 7 rythmbox used on the Oxygen album.

This chip is not PCM wavetable playback and have virtual analog modeling oscillators for that true 70’s analog puffs and pops drumsound.

It has trig inputs for the sounds and is the chip that will build the remake of the MiniPops 7, the O2 Analog Drum Machine.

But you can have the chip now if you want those sounds in your own DIY setup.

The chip is $37 including international shipping.

Release for the DWS Chip

November 10, 2015

The digital waveshaper chip can be ordered.
The price is $23.

The chip creates a sawwave from an edge triggered input.
The sawwave can be either hardsynced or ringmodulated from a second input.

The mode input is drawn as a switch but it works at audiorate so can be used as a modulator aswell.
Doing so introduces very strange waveforms as the mode changes mid cycle.

Power supply is 2.7-5volt so it’s a perfect match for the VCDM.

K5 Additive synthesizer

November 4, 2015

The K5 chip is an additive synthesizer that builds its sound by adding 5 sinewaves.
No filter required, yes, additive shaping.

The chip can run in 2 modes:

Mode1: 5 CV inputs selects the level of fundamental, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th harmonic levels and a 6th CV is the pitch CV for the fundamental frequency, 1volt/octave. This mode is for modular synth usage and monophonic.

Mode2: 5 CV inputs shapes the envelopes of the fundamental, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th harmonic level. the 6th CV can be used for pitch modulation and it is 8 note paraphonic with MIDI input. Envelopes use the single knob Roland way.

This is a very cool chip that can shape the sound without filters.
