The Q25 MCU

The Alesis Q25 Microcontroller is a STM32F103C6 used for the keyscanning.

It’s an ARM Cortex-M3 @72MHz with 32Kb flash and 10Kb SRAM.

One could probably reflash it and run a VA synth straight on the chip but it would require to reverse engineer the MCU board to know what GPIO’s are used for the keyscanner.
